Following the Abraham Accords and the strengthening of ties between Israel and the UAE, an active Jewish community has developed in Dubai, alongside a significant kosher food infrastructure. Today you can find a wide variety of restaurants, cafes, bakeries and catering services in the city operating under recognized kosher supervision, offering tourists and Israeli business travelers the chance to enjoy a varied culinary experience without giving up kashrut. From meat and fish to baked goods and fast food, Dubai’s community makes sure every taste has a kosher, available option. Several new kosher restaurants, both dairy and meat, have opened recently – we update our kosher listings regularly, so feel free to check back.

So where can you find kosher restaurants? It’s worth remembering that before Israel established relations with the UAE, there weren’t many Jews there, and kosher food was hard to find and quite expensive, due to the difficulty of transporting food – some of it even done discreetly, keeping a “low profile” regarding anything connected to Jews and Israel. The good news is that we’re now seeing more kosher food, kosher restaurants, and soon a kosher supermarket in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, meeting the demand of Israelis expected to visit the UAE following the normalization agreement between the two countries.

Kosher hotel in Dubai – as of today, no hotel in Dubai offers a regular kosher breakfast service, as the Hilton Habtoor City hotel once did. That said, you can order a kosher breakfast from Cafe Fantastico or La Fournil bakery and have it delivered straight to the hotel where you’re staying. In addition, every kosher restaurant in Dubai and Abu Dhabi offers delivery to your hotel – so you always have access to fresh kosher food, even without leaving your room.

Kosher supermarket in Dubai, you ask? Yes – you can find kosher products in a small number of supermarkets, with items arriving mostly from abroad with a hechsher. Going forward, this trend is expected to grow, and we’ll be able to find a wider variety of kosher items in Dubai. Attached is a kashrut guide compiled by Rabbi Ofer Livnat, who researched the subject.
